Facilities Manager – Mill Creek Campus

The Facilities Manager directs the Mill Creek custodial staff, and performs engineering responsibilities.  This person will oversee the preparation of the Mill Creek facility for all events and activities and will oversee janitorial, engineering, and landscape maintenance. This is a full time position.


General Responsibilities:

Job will be based out of the CFC Mill Creek Campus location.

  • Oversees and performs janitorial maintenance.
  • Oversees and performs building maintenance and repair.
  • Oversees and performs grounds maintenance and upkeep.
  • Oversees building security.
  • Demonstrates good planning, organizational, communication, supervisory, and team building skills.
  • Recruits and oversees volunteers for Facilities responsibilities.  Develops good rapport with volunteer team members.
  • Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.

Lead Custodian – Mill Creek (Full Time)

The Custodial Lead is responsible for the preparation of church and school facilities for meetings, classes and various events and for the direction of custodians and/or volunteers in the same. Assignments include cleaning, room setup/teardown, landscape maintenance, building security, and various other duties. This individual must be hard working, able to lift loads of 75 pounds, and have a heart to serve people.

General Responsibilities:

Job will be approximately 40 hours per week and based out of the CFC Mill Creek Campus location.

  • Oversight of facility pertaining to activities and events. Includes communicating with event leaders and serving their needs.
  • Supervision of paid Custodial employees. Directing employees in the course of work.
  • Recruiting of volunteers for serving in the Custodial Department. Directing volunteers in the course of work.
  • Cleaning of facilities including office spaces, bathrooms, classrooms, meeting rooms, and auditoriums.
  • Set up of various equipment for classes and events.
  • Security of facilities, locking and unlocking of doors, responding to security incidents that may be posed by individuals on CFC property.
  • Operation of security and fire alarms.
  • Lifting loads of 75 pounds.
  • Grounds/landscaping clean up and various projects.
  • Use of computer for email correspondence and other simple programs.
  • Cleaning of carpets with professional carpet cleaning equipment.

Faith Sisters / Sunday Night Children’s Classroom Leads (Part-Time)

The Classroom Lead is responsible for providing oversight, planning, and ensuring their assigned children’s classroom is a secure, nurturing environment where each child will see, hear, and feel the love of Jesus. The Classroom Lead will be responsible for running their children’s ministry classroom during Faith Sisters and Sunday nights. We are looking for a leader and communicator with a passion and mission for Jesus’ ministry to children and families. 

General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement and teach classroom bible lesson for assigned classroom each week. 
• Incorporate and implement age appropriate crafts for assigned classroom each week.
• Lead class for the day.
• Make sure class is clean and stocked with supplies before leaving.
• Oversee the assigned classroom.
• Create a fun, safe, Jesus-centered environment.
• Demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude with the parents and the children who are in your care.
• Implement and maintain policies and procedures that ensure the physical and emotional safety, as well as the security of children in your care.
• Communicate consistently with parents/guardians, and supervisor.

Requirements:

• Must love people and children. 
• Possess a flexible attitude with experience in working with both young children and parents.

Children’s Ministry Preschool Director (Full-Time Position)

Purpose/requirements of the Job:

Provide leadership and administrative assistance to the Christian Faith Center Children’s Preschool Department, Check-in area and Faith Sisters/Sunday Nights childcare, in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the overall operations at the Federal Way campus.  Must be a CFC member and a person exhibiting Christian faith and commitment with a consistent testimony.

  • Full-Time 40 hrs/wk

Experience and Knowledge Required:

  • Experience in problem solving.
  • Ability to supervise multiple projects effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • A love and calling toward ministry to children and families.
  • Ability to learn and use Fellowship One software efficiently.
  • Experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a particular emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must be a strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Receive direction from Department Head and communicate to Christian Faith Center staff and volunteers to follow up on completion of work.
  • Oversee all operations of Preschool Ministry, Check-in area and Faith Sisters/Sunday night childcare at the Federal Way campus, ensuring the success of the weekend experience.
  • Directly oversee security and communication with volunteers.
  • Responsible for weekend experience 3-5 year old age groups.
  • Respond to DH with emergencies/urgent issues as they arise.
  • Respond to emails and phone call within 24 -hour time frame.
  • Create monitoring systems to detect problems as early as possible and initiate interventions to solve the problems.
  • Recruit and work with volunteers to build the Federal Way Preschool/Check-in Team and work with Christian Faith Center staff to ensure proper training of volunteers.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation to ensure adequate funds for operation of Preschool Department.
  • Answer general phone calls in reference to Preschool Ministry inquiries and direct all incoming calls correct CFC staff members.
  • Coordinate with departments and oversee special events through completion.
  • Purchase equipment and supplies for Federal Way Preschool Ministry.
  • Maintain a strong, organized filing system which requires a thorough knowledge of all ongoing projects and activities within the Preschool Ministry.
  • Provide general office support including opening and distributing mail as well as faxing, copying and ordering office supplies.
  • Create, review and update yearly and special project budgets within the teams.
  • Generate reports and graphs as needed.
  • Coordinate and oversee Preschool Ministry childcare for special events.
  • Weekly observe adult-to-child ratios campus-wide to ensure child safety, abide by state laws, and monitor growth for additional rooms that may be needed.
  • Participate in weekly department meetings to discuss enhancing the weekend experience and upcoming events.
  • Running miscellaneous errands for Preschool Ministry.
